Winter Trench

love my trench coat. Mine is an older style from J. Crew, but the current one looks just as great. When I take into account all of the days of the year, not just winter, I think it’s a tie for my most worn coat between my Patagonia puffer and my trench. Not a week goes by where I don’t wear both at least once.

It looks great over jeans and a striped tee and a date night outfit. It’s also one of my favorite things to pack for traveling because it looks so sharp, even if I’m wearing something basic along with it.

While it’s not the warmest jacket, it is a good option for a mild winter day, particularly over a warm and cozy sweater, like I did here.

And when it comes to trench coats, you just can’t go wrong with classic black. You know?

And again. These boots! I don’t know what I would have done this winter without them!!! I picked them up at the Margaux store right before my Paris trip and hoped for the best. Always a risk to wear new shoes on a trip… but it worked out. I went up to a 38 (usually a 37.5 in European sizes) to accommodate socks. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend.
