WEEK OF OUTFITS 9.27.21

My favorite series of the week is back! If you’re new since Jack arrived, this is a weekly series where I share my outfits from the week. I personally love it because it really encourages me to put together cute outfits and to shop my closet more. This year in particular has been harder for me to be excited about getting dressed as my body has been in complete flux with pregnancy, and now postpartum. I honestly have been a different size and shape completely every single week this year. I never know what’s going to fit and, most importantly, what I feel good in. I’m relearning how to dress myself and trying to figure out what works functionally with nursing.

LAST WEEK’S WIN: The biggest personal “win”: having a healthy six-week check up!!! I started to get a little nervous as I inched closer. Really I got in my head that something wasn’t going to be right, but all was well. Excited to get back to working out, that is if I can find the time to fit it into my days… I think my best bet is setting an alarm an hour before when I think Jack will wake up? But I just haven’t been able to do that just yet.

THIS WEEK’S GOAL: We are leaving bright and early on Saturday morning. I’m a little anxious about the journey there. Two dogs, a month’s worth of luggage, and a baby on a long drive and then a ferry… Hamilton and Teddy are the real wild cards. They don’t love the car, so it should be….. fun. Mike and I picked out an audiobook to listen to so I hope that helps!

TUESDAY

Started the day with a local mom meetup that I found through Facebook. I got a ton of DMs asking how I found the group… I’m in a bunch of Facebook groups and while some are more annoying than others, I’ve found them to generally be a great way to stay in the loop, especially when it comes to local things. Anyway, found the meet up through there. And here’s the thing, if you want something like this but can’t find it, consider starting one yourself! I guarantee you other moms in your area are looking for something similar.

WEDNESDAY

I mostly worked when I could, made a big errand run (which is me strategically rushing from one spot to the next to get back before Jack wakes up), and then my sister in law came over to hang later.

THURSDAY

Elsa and I had planned on going apple picking that afternoon, but we ended up having terrible weather so we postponed. It was a gloomy, dark day with a ton of rain! We stayed cozy inside.

FRIDAY

I had my doctor’s appointment first thing in the morning and then I crammed work in as I could. Then we had our neighbors over pizza in our backyard!

SATURDAY

Honestly couldn’t tell you what I did on Saturday other than going to the recycling center, which is my favorite household chore.

SUNDAY

Spent the whole day with Jack just enjoying the gorgeous weather. I took him out for a long walk and swung by to get coffee and then cuddled up at home. In the evening we celebrated my sister in law’s birthday with a picture perfect backyard dinner party. Truly felt like something out of a movie!

MONDAY

Elsa and I finally got to go apple picking for some outfit photos. (I was also excited to take Jack even though he won’t remember it and he 100% slept through the entire outing anyway.) We got home and I changed into some comfy clothes because I had a ton of desk work I needed to do. Living for this matching set.
