Oh last week was a good one!! So many of my friends, including myself, have been feeling extremely burnt out this summer. It’s crazy how it doesn’t matter where we live, how many kids we have/if we have kids, what their ages are…. we’re all having the same feeling of burn out. Maybe because I can feel summer winding down– prepping for preschool and return to routine– I was able to settle a bit in a way I haven’t felt since maybe June?! I don’t know… But it was still a good one and I’m going to celebrate it as a W.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: Mike took Jack down the shore this weekend. Wow. I didn’t know how badly I needed this little break, but I did. I had lunch with a friend. I worked out on my own schedule. I organized for over six hours. I deep cleaned the house. I needlepointed. I sat on the couch doing nothing. I read. I even whipped up a little craft?! And then I had time to get to the grocery store Sunday night to restock the fridge and pantry ahead of the week. I feel like a new woman!
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: I finally feel like I’m back in my groove work-wise and I my brain has been swirling with ideas. Need to capitalize on this second trimester energy because who knows how long it will last.
