This is not the most inspiring week of outfits, I will admit. It was a pretty big grinding work week, it was freezing outside, and we had quite a bit of rain too! So… my usual uniform of jeans and sweaters to the rescue. And lots of cashmere. I know cashmere is an investment, but man does it make me happy during the winter.
WEEK OF OUTFITS 12.08.20
TUESDAY
I… have no idea what I did on Tuesday besides work. This could be an ongoing theme for the rest of the week. I guess in a way, it’s nice that life feels pretty uneventful.
WEDNESDAY
A usual Wednesday for me. Worked all day and then headed over to the food pantry for my volunteer shift! I love this cozy outfit. Not super fancy but nice and comfortable. Made sense for sitting at my desk for hours and then standing for volunteering.
THURSDAY
This was the toughest day of the week for me, mentally! I think I just hit the wall. I’m so close to the finish line for the year and I just felt bone tired and emotional. But I also think it was the day I kind of rounded the corner. Kind of had to have everything come to a head and then I felt better– like letting go of a rubberband.
FRIDAY
I *cranked* through work on Friday. I was determined to go into the weekend feeling *good* and it happened. So I did a shoot for a campaign at a farm a couple of towns over and just squeaked it in between pouring rain storms. I came home and got back into comfies to work from the couch for the rest of the day.
SATURDAY
We had the RAINIEST day. It was ugly and dark. We stayed cozy inside and then at around 3, the sun came out and we jumped at the chance for a walk outside. I was itching to get out and it felt great, even though it was freezing. Definitely felt like winter is here!

SUNDAY
We went to a COVID-friendly birthday “party” for our niece’s third birthday. Then I came home, did a tiiiiiny bit of work, and spent the rest of the night finishing needlepoint ornaments.

MONDAY
Woke up ready for the week ahead and felt good about my to-do lists. Nothing really crazy of note here.
