It’s that time of year!! We’re transitioning to the second part of the fall season, which I have to admit I’m a little sad about after the best Halloween ever. Thanksgiving dinner is always a good time though, and then we’ll officially be less than 30 days away from Christmas. (How?!?!) As much as I admire a beautiful Thanksgiving tablescape with statement-making centerpieces, I tend to prefer something more simple– but still special!– in real life. If I had my own Thanksgiving table to decorate this year (our dining room, with just a little round table, is too small for hosting extended family), these are some of the pieces I’d be eyeing.

Flatware // Placecards ($10 for 8!) // Floral Tablecloth
Striped Tablecloth // Pleated Placemat // Candle
Woven Placemats ($12 for 2!) // Napkin Rings ($22 for 12!) // Plate
Thanksgiving Table Decor Ideas
Flatware // I’m happy we’ve shifted from the gold flatware trend to this more French style. The earthy tones on the handle remind me of tortoiseshell, a current obsession of mine– and they match any color scheme!
Placecards ($10 for 8!) // Putting name cards at all the place settings is such a fun little detail!! Of course we really don’t need them, but I do think it makes everyone feel special (especially the kids). I love Rifle Paper Co.’s darling patterns full of rich colors, and this one may be one of my favorites of all time.
Floral Tablecloth // A tablecloth is the easiest way to make a tablescape feel more intentional and cohesive, even if you don’t have complementary plates or placemats. Also, is this print not a work of art?! The color palette of this one lends itself well to hiding stains, which is key for large gatherings, especially when little ones are involved!
Striped Tablecloth // If you’re looking for a tablecloth you can use year-round, obviously something simple and neutral is a great idea… but I can’t say I wouldn’t be tempted to scoop up the other 16 patterns this one comes in.
Pleated Placemat // Between the rickrack trim and the pleats, I can’t remember ever seeing anything similar on the market. For sure a statement!! (Two of the colorways are gingham, making the placemats even more delightful.)
Candle // At our boys’ ages, taper candles are a serious safety risk. With this candle, you get the same soft lighting but with less height and more coverage. I’d pair with a floral arrangement or white pumpkins for a simple centerpiece!
Woven Placemats ($12 for 2!) // Natural textures like wicker do a great job at grounding a tablescape. Also, the color of these placemats is *chef’s kiss.*
Napkin Rings ($22 for 12!) // Wrap these around cloth napkins for a touch of elegance you can use for holiday tablescapes too!!
Plate // I know, I know… Do you really need to add new dinner plates to your Thanksgiving collection? Of course not. But the burgundy trim is just so chic– and fairly versatile!
