Good news (for us): Our pond club is open for the season! After already sharing some of my favorite bathing suits of the season, now is the perfect time to put together swimsuit outfit ideas. It didn’t happen on purpose, but I love that almost everything here is under $60.
Swimsuit Outfit Ideas
Swimsuit // Bag ($55!) // Shorts // Bow ($12.50!) // Sandals ($50!)
This entire look screams nostalgia, if you ask me, from the Ralph Lauren madras suit to the Gap tote (perfect for a beach bag)! I’m convinced that high-waisted bottoms are flattering on all body types, and these shorts are one of my favorite buys. They’re the perfect length and looseness, and also wash incredibly well. Though hair accessories may not belong in the water, I couldn’t resist the finishing touch this too-cute bow provides. These sandals, on the other hand, are waterproof! (And I reviewed them a few years ago.)
Swimsuit // Hat ($50!) // Sandals ($60!) // Bag ($30!) // Skirt ($25!)
Does this swimsuit not have one of the most darling floral prints? I love the subtle pastel colors….almost as much as I love these flat sandals, which I wore all last summer and are SO versatile. I kept the rest of the outfit super simple too, to help the delicate pattern of the suit stand out more. This midi skirt is the perfect companion if you need the outfit to look less swim-adjacent, if that makes sense– it’s just a little more dressy than jean shorts! This canvas bag is more functional than it should be for just $30, packed with pockets and multiple strap options. I wouldn’t be surprised if it became a best seller soon!
Pants ($40!) // Swimsuit ($35!) // Sunglasses // Jack Rogers // Bag ($60!)
Of the three swimsuit outfit ideas, this one is the most “OG Carly,” with multiple shades of blue and my trusty Jacks! They’re a good choice for almost any summer outfit, and they’ll forever have a spot in my summer capsule wardrobe. The linen pants– which come in a ton of different colors– have a more casual look the way they’re styled, but you could easily dress them up. Between the navy color and single strap, this probably one of the most sleek one-pieces available for $35 or less, made even more stylish by the texture. My sunglasses are the splurge here, but I love them just as much as the day I bought them. They’re timeless and so, SO chic.
