I think I should just come out and say it: I have an obsession with bows. I think I may be in love with them.
If I don’t have a bow somewhere in my outfit, I told feel complete! Dresses with bows, headbands with bows, shoes with bows, belts with bows… I think you get the picture. So anyways, I was shopping with Soccer Mom a week ago. I fell in love with a pair of shoes. The Kate Spade loafers are perfect for casual jeans and dressy dresses. And, of course, the bow is perfectly placed on the toe.
I’m also obsessed with bows in my hair. I always tie a ribbon around my ponytail or wear a headband with a bow on it. J. Crew came out with a cute black one in the fall! This break was a perfect time for me to practice tying bows for children’s barrettes. I decided to work with Grosgrain, my favorite type of ribbon! It is firm enough to hold a shape, yet flexible enough to fall nicely. I watched a few videos and read tutorials online, but they weren’t turning out the way I had envisioned them. After a few trials, I finally finished two. I posted the pictures of them 🙂
