Draper James so kindly sent me this dress last week. It was such a thoughtful surprise and I wore it the next day. I really love anything eyelet. I didn’t notice it at first, but this eyelet is actually a bunch of pineapples. It’s subtle but very cute.
I love a good shift dress during the summer… especially when it’s blazing hot (like it has been here). It’s been pushing one hundred degrees more days than not and an easy to throw on dress that hangs (instead of hugs) is the only thing I want to put on when it’s that hot.
I’m also just going to throw it out there that I’m still taking photos by myself, at home with a tripod and a self timer. It’s actually been a lot better than I expected and I prefer the flexibility. I can shoot whenever I want and wait for good weather and the best lighting. With that said, I took these after I had a thing outside and it was at least ninety five degrees, and I feel like my whole neighborhood was out and about… so this is the best I could do.
(My Fedex delivery guy did ask me if I was going to event because he thought I looked very nice, which was sweet and mortifying to be outside with a tripod.)
Can we talk about Teddy?
I really like the length of the dress– it’s not too long or too short. And I didn’t get a picture because I was melting out there, but the back of the dress comes down into a slight v. It’s nice because it hits high enough to cover a bra but gives the dress a cute shape.
PS I actually found a super cute shell top in the exact same pineapple eyelet if you want something to wear with jeans!
