This week was pretty uneventful in a good way. Good balance of productivity and giving myself grace for quieter moments. I have felt more creative than I have in a while. Between crafting and writing and editing video and shooting content alone, I have been flexing that muscle quite a bit. I like it a lot. I’m much more analytical by nature so I am finding that these creative outlets give the analytical part of my brain a rest. (Extra nice because I think that part of my brain has been in overdrive thinking about negative things!) The BEST part is having finished products in front of me. Here’s a sweatshirt I embroidered that I can wear. Here’s a needlepoint ornament I can give. Here’s a face mask that I can donate. Here’s a video I can watch. Here’s 30 pages of writing I can read. I don’t even think you have to be particularly good… it’s worth just doing as an outlet.

I signed back up for Book of the Month, I have been doing a lot of e-reading and was craving holding a physical book. Excited about my picks…
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // The Best Cooking Projects
I love Ambitious Kitchen. Monique just put together a list of fun things to make in the kitchen when you’re looking for a project. Baking is definitely a way I relax (and again, loving having a final product!). I’ve been trying to limit how much I bake, because there’s only so much Mike and I can eat! It’s a great list though and now I want to roll up my sleeves and get going!
TWO // Strawberry T-Shirt
This is the shirt that inspired my bow sweatshirt if you caught it on my Instagram Story earlier this week. How CUTE are these little strawberries??? Perfect for summer and the shirt itself looks nice and comfy. It’s also 40% off right now, so a great deal.
THREE // RomComPods
My friend Becca is launching a storytelling podcast featuring a new rom com every season. I got a sneak peek at the script for season one and it’s so good. I can’t wait to hear it played out by voice actors. Kind of reminds me of when they’d do stories over the radio. It’s not officially out yet, but you can subscribe now!
FOUR // Hill House Vintage NY Times’ Interview
I shared Paula’s Instagram account last week, but wanted to share this as a followup. She did an interview with the NY Times and it’s a great piece. I think she touches on a lot from motherhood, finding your passion, creating, and style.
FIVE // How to Support a New Mom from Far Away
I know a lot, if not all, of us have friends and family hitting big milestones and life events right now that have to be celebrating from a distance. Graduations, birthdays, engagements, pregnancies, newborns. I thought this was a great post from Cup of Jo about how to support a new mom when you’re far away… and the comment section also proves to be a wealth of knowledge!
