I was so excited to partner with J. Crew Factory on this post. I had been eyeing a few items already and immediately started brainstorming outfit ideas for Garrett and me to wear. I initially had another outfit in mind but switched to plaid because it was so much more festive. (And so much more us.) As far as I’m concerned, there is no such thing as too much plaid for the holidays.

Doesn’t the green sweater look so cute on Gar? I was dying over his whole look; I love the way it came together.

I picked out this ruffled plaid shirt. It’s lightweight, and with the ruffle collar detailing, it’s just perfect for layering under a sweater. Would look cute with a puffer vest as well!

Garrett is pretty opinionated when it comes to what he wears. Luckily he has great taste, but it does make it hard for me to shop for him. If you have that kind of guy to shop for too, put this plaid shirt at the top of the list. It’s really rugged and has the cutest elbow patches. It’s also a true button down, which Garrett and I both agree is essential for guys.
Also, the pants are a home run. We try to find good pants for Garrett all the time. It’s so hard to find ones that aren’t skinny jeans or “dad” jeans. These get a thumbs up from both Garrett and me.

Now that we have good holiday party outfits, next up is gifts!!! J. Crew Factory just launched their gift guide. It’s so cute and color-coded, making it easy to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. For women, I’m loving these plaid pants, this shirt-tail hem sweatshirt, and these glitter flats. For men, you can’t go wrong with flannel pajama bottoms, printed socks, or this anchor mug (under $20)!
