When the calendar gets overwhelming, I like to whisk us away for a short, simple trip. Last weekend we packed the car and headed toward the coast—a little break from routine, salt air, and sprawling beach towns where life moves a bit slower. Our itinerary was delightfully light: grab coffee, walk the boardwalk, let the kids collect shells, repeat.
Travel is different as a mom, but it’s not any less sweet. It’s less about fancy hotels and more about building memories, like sandy shoes in the trunk or sticky ice cream smiles. I came home with a full heart and the refreshing reminder that sometimes, the best getaway is the easiest one.
