We have been putting LONG hours in our backyard. (I have the mosquito bites to prove it!) My ideal weekend day is going outside and sitting there from my morning coffee all the way through dinner. I needlepoint, nap, read, play fetch with the dogs. I think our backyard tops my gratefulness list every night as I go to bed… mosquitos and all.
I’ve been calling this my backyard dress. I was curious how it’d fit in real life when I ordered it, but I have to say… I am obsessed with it and it fits perfectly. The straps are adjustable so you can make them longer or shorter with three different lengths. Plus the smocked back ensures a perfect fit in the bust. The rest of the dress is flowy and sheer perfection for hot and humid afternoons.
I love ric rac but sometimes it can look cheesy and juvenile. I like that Tuckernuck used it to make it a little more like scalloping than ric rac. I wish it came in a solid color as well– I’d wear one every day of the week.
