Last year, Stubbs and Wootton asked me if I wanted to do a shoe collaboration. Stubbs were the first pair of shoes I ever “splurged” on. They are known for their iconic smoking slippers. Each shoe has its own personality and once you get one pair, it’s hard not to want to collect all the cheeky and stylish motifs.
STUBBS & WOOTTON x CARLY
This is one of those “dream come true” product collaborations for me. The minute they asked me, I agreed straight away (who wouldn’t) and knew I wanted a pair with bows. I drew this bow on my iPad with procreate and sent the file over to the team. Within a day, they had mockups! It was very cool to see the mock up and once approved, it was even cooler to see the finished shoe in real life. They are even better than I imagined.
I am not-so-patiently waiting for the snow to melt here so I can start wearing these every day. I know they’re going to be treasured staples for me.

We picked two colorways:
Flax (with a blue bow) and Navy (with a flax bow). The best part, in my opinion, is that they are made to order. While this means a longer lead time for shipping (4-6 weeks), it also means they won’t sell out. I know how frustrating it can be when there are collaborations and if you’re not on the minute it launches, you could be out of luck. These shoes will be worth the wait!! And maybe the snow will be melted by then

Whenever I wear Stubbs and Wootton shoes, I get a lot of questions about sizing. I’m almost always a 7 in shoes and I sometimes wear a 37.5 when it’s European sizing. For the Stubbs and Wootton slippers, I prefer going up 1/2 size to a 7.5. They do have a size chart that may help you make your decision. Personally I would either go with your regular size or size up 1/2, but would not size down. They should feel good right out of the box as they soften over time but won’t stretch out, so if it feels tight I would exchange.

I can’t even pick a favorite between the navy and the flax. Both are so versatile and will go with just about everything from jeans to dresses. And while they’re a “fun” shoe, I still find them to work as a neutral.

A little aggressive but if you get both…. Not sure I’d be brave enough to do this IRL, but thought it made for a fun photo!
As always, thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel so lucky to have you reading my blog– I don’t take it for granted. I hope you all love the shoes as much as I do
