LONG HANDLE BOAT AND TOTE

While I originally wanted to take some photos in this darling little dress which is such a good “wardrobe staple” and then I ended up carrying my long handled boat and tote and, well, I’m changing gears. This is me asking for (demanding?) justice for the long handled boat and tote.

I have a bunch of LL Bean Boat and Totes. I actually think at this point between the family we have every size and almost every iteration (zippered/open top, short handle/long handle). We use them for everything and always have at least three in my car at any given moment. It’s true, by the way, they get better with age!

I’ve recently seen some videos online about not liking the long handles and, while I do think the short handles look a bit “chicer” (for lack of a better word), the long handles are elite and super practical. My gym bag is the large/open top/long handles. The boys each have a large/zippered/long handles. And my sister in law got me this medium/open top/long handles for a wedding gift.

At some point when I transitioned away from needing a diaper bag with me, I started using this tote as my everyday bag and I haven’t looked back. I swap in handbags every now and then, but for the most part this is the bag that I’m using on a daily basis.

And let me tell you. These long handles?! They’re perfect.

I think this style is practical for everyone, but especially if you have velcro kids it’s key to have a bag that you can carry without actually holding you know? And then it still fits all the essentials and then some? Even better.
